We Live to Eat Restaurant Week
If there’s one thing New Orleans is known for other than Mardi Gras, it’s our food. Foodies around the world flock to New Orleans to taste our seafood specialties and one-of-a-kind Cajun & Creole flavors. NOLA cuisine is part of who we are. This week, from September 12th through the 18th, you won’t want to miss the “We Live to Eat” event. During this weeklong celebration of New Orleans cuisine, participating restaurants throughout the New Orleans metro area will offer special prix fixe (fixed price) menus, giving diners the opportunity to try items at 25% off the regular price! New Orleans Burlesque Festival
From September 15th through the 18th is the New Orleans Burlesque Festival. For centuries, the French Quarter has been a hotspot for nightlife and burlesque entertainment. Back in the 1940’s through the 1960’s, Bourbon Street featured the largest concentration of burlesque clubs in the United States and attracted people from all over the world. Today, there’s a revival of burlesque entertainment, and NOLA plays a big role in bringing back the glitz, glamour, and excitement of burlesque shows. The New Orleans Burlesque Festival features shows, parties, discussion panels, workshops, and more! For the full festival schedule including locations and times, visit the official website here.
